People think house cleaners scrub toilets.

Sometimes… that’s the easiest part of our job.

We walk into homes where people are surviving cancer, grieving spouses, battling depression, raising children alone, caring for parents with dementia, recovering from addiction, or simply trying to make it through another day.

For some clients, we’re the only person they’ll have a real conversation with all week.

Some cry.

Some vent.

Some apologize for the mess, when the mess was never what broke my heart.

The hardest part isn’t the dirt.

It’s hearing someone’s worst day, worst year, or worst chapter… and then seeing the physical evidence of that pain throughout their home.

You leave carrying pieces of stories that were never yours.

And yet, you’d never wish they had kept them to themselves.

This profession is so much more than cleaning.

We restore homes, but sometimes we restore a little bit of hope too.

It’s a weight most people never realize we carry.

And despite how heavy it can be…

Most of us would carry it again tomorrow.

The after though is a complete 👩‍🍳💋 I truly enjoy what I do with a great passion in the first picture it might make some feel overwhelmed, or anxious but to me I see a challenge and something I can conquer!! 💖

When you think cleaning business, you think only cleaning but for me this week was really busy and not only was it full of cleanings which I am so grateful for. I also got to help a house pack one of their rooms. They are moving. I got to help decorate a pre-wedding party for an Indian couple. I got to help move the kitchen furniture so that the Lady I Clean For could get new wood flooring put down and then after the pre-wedding party, I got to go clean up the pre-wedding party. I am truly grateful for my job every day is a new and exciting day. Below is the picture of the Indian pre wedding party.
