Life has kicked me down into the gravel and dirt continuously since.....
Well, since forever.
But most particularly since around Mid-October 2025.
This Em of a Mom has survived from Mid-Oct to now...
* A perforated ear drum (2nd time in 1.5 years)
* Multiple episodes of dizziness and syncope
* A Bradycardia diagnosis (that has resolved with a change to a less busy on my feet 100% of the time job)
* Leaving her busy in-center RBT job for an in-home RBT job that was shady and committing ethics violations.
* Leaving the ethic violating job, reporting them to her ethics board and the DOL Wage & Hour division.
* Attaining a job with a reputable company related to her RBT certification that does NOT commit ethics violations.
* Mandatorily Reporting. Because she became aware of a CSEM photo posted on Bsky. Then, because this hit her heart so hard. She fielded and held space for anonymous tips of witnesses/victims of cybercrimes against children from 2014-2020 in the year of 2025 when they are now all mid-20s young adults grappling with the gravity of the events that happened to them on Discord. Reporting everything word-for-word, objectively, factually, and in good faith. To both the FBI National Threat Center and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children from 11/21-12/2.
* Ending that duty with a job well done from both the FBI and NCMEC on 12/2/25 with a 9am phone call from the FBI. Then, admission to a Care Advocate to ensure she can cope with the aftermath of such a hard mandatory reporting period.
* Being without her ADHD medication for 2 weeks. Not by her own fault. By the fault of her previous insurance Medicaid, and her pharmacy all combined.
* The release of the Epstein Files
* Being pi**ed the release was late and incomplete
* Surviving on $800 in November and just food stamps.
* Surviving on $90 in December and just food stamps.
* Surviving a Mental Health Crisis and implementing her 988 safety plan on 12/16/25 appropriately.
* Ending the mental healthcare she received from the same providers since 2021.
* Getting a fresh psych eval and transferring mental healthcare to a new therapist and psychiatrist to stay on track with her MDD, GAD, PTSD, and ADHD-C.
* Surviving on $300 in January and just food stamps.
* Needing to do another Mandatory Reporting period at the end of January.
* Finding out that the new job she attained in December does not have any clients within less than an hour commute from her.
* Still being employed but technically without work all of February.
* Restarting her college degree with Capella University and her current employer because if she can't work, she's gonna heckin LEARN.
* Endless hold times with IowaWORKS, HHS for SNAP, and CCA.
* Resuming her search for reliable work hours.
* Being a heckin single MOMMA thru all this with 50/50 joint custody.
* Being served modification paperwork for said custody on Valentine's Day 2026, thanks dude. Solid 👍. She'll see you in mediation and/or court.
The road goes ever on and on, and this isn't even all I've dealt with. Just the worst of it.
I have been riding the waves of depressive episode after episode because I have Major Depressive Disorder.
But one place I'm always safe, is Kitty Corner Social Club.
I can count on this place to calm my mind and advocate for this stressed out, over worked, underpaid, college student, single-mother. Every. Single. Time. Period.
I can always count on them to hold space for me and advocate for me when I cannot advocate for myself at all.
I really can't. I can only stay neutral to a firm mom voice. That's what the professionals have told me.
I find peace, safety, and community here.
I hope you all will give them a visit sometime and get to feel the same way I do, every time I step inside too.
