They cost less than $20, and not only does it keep your indoor air healthier and cleaner - it also reduces strain on your furnace motor - preventing premature replacement. Make sure to check your return air ducts - those can also have pleated filters. 👌🏼

Pro tip: your household vacuum needs love too!

For getting the best performance (and life!) out of your vacuum - and to keep your home even healthier:

1) Clean any washable filters. Some filters like these can be rinsed under running water and wrung out several times. Do NOT bang them against something to clean, or you will look like Santa Clause. Just make sure to dry them out in the sun before installing again.

2) Carefully cut out any string or hair that's wrapped around the roller bar. This saves wear and tear on the motor.

3) If your vacuum uses bags, keep the bag changed out before it gets too full - this also saves wear on the motor.
