This week's artist of the week is: Yuumei! I LOVE her work!

I am a Practice of Art major at UC Berkeley with a focus on environmentalism and cyber activism. I specialize in digital art but I also enjoy traditional watercolor, sculpting, and origami.

So, I think I'll do artist of the week instead. I really get lost in what I'm doing and forget to post daily. This week is one of my personal friends and favorite artists: Jamin of Nimajination-Studios!

I've been drawing, sketching, painting, and creating since I was five years old, and always dreamed of becoming an artist. I also write and draw a web comic.

So it might sound crazy but lately I've found that while I love the name of my company it's a bit of a mouthful. So I am thinking of changing it. Any suggestions? So far I've got "Chibi-chan's".

Starting up a business is a lot of work but it's fun. Overwhelming right now since I am not able to get the funds together at the moment. :/ I do have 3 signature scents planned and I really look forward to revealing them. I am desparately seeking work in this field for experience and funds. ^.^ We're also trying to fundraise.

Some people asked, so I thought I'd explain a little:

The Concept started over 10 years ago but took a long time and much brainstorming to fully come together. For the last 4 1/4 years, we've been scraping by selling arts, homemade goods from amigurumi (custom and based off our characters), custom jewelry, freelance books & manga to custom & original art, ghostwriting services, & baked goods. From cooking, cleaning, volunteering and everything inbetween, we strive to do the thing.

At the moment, we're homeless. Yes, we're working hard to get on our feet but instead of being brought down, we've found ourselves even more driven by our dream. The first years, we fiddled with an idea here, an idea there- but we never quite touched on what felt wrong about it. Now we know: this world has it's darkside, BUT we've seen more good than bad, more light than dark. So, in hope that the future will allow us to create a wonderful business to get us on our feet, leave a legacy for our children, and best of all, provide hope and love to those who need it, we have a beautiful, clear idea.
