🍁Friendly tip for our tiny neighbors! 🦋🐝🐞

Sit back and enjoy the leaves in your yard!

Not only are you saving yourself some time for other enjoyable activities like that cabinet you swore you’d finish this summer or that shelf that was only going to take you 5 minutes to put up, but here are other pros:

- 🌱Healthier more beautiful grass in the spring as the leaves provide the grass with nutrients.
- 🫶🏽 Helping vital and, dare we say bee-neficial insects/critters such as bees, amphibians, turtles, lightning bugs, beetles, butterflies… the list goes on!
- 🦝Nesting material for wildlife to use and keep warm.
- 🔥Ground insulation which protects the soil from drying out.
- 💨Reduces greenhouse gases.

What are we up to today? Oh… not too much just spending it up on some roofs. 🔨💪🏽 Who needs caffeine when you have adrenaline pumping through your veins every minute of your day! 😅 For our exclusion techs, walking on a roof is like riding a bike or taking a nap…. Happy weekend! 😎

🐝 WASPS SWARMING YOU OR YOUR LOVED HOME!? 🐝
- During the fall, stinging insects prefer sugars and carbs to bulk up for the winter (me too, tbh)
- Fall is getting closer and closer which means the queens will be hibernating during the winter and will start their nest building in the spring likely where their last queen built her nest the season before.
- While stinging insects don’t oftentimes use the same nest, they will stick to the same home/area.
- Flowers, recycling bins, and trees will have an abundance of insects during this time!
- We have preventative services!

♻️Recycle Donation Project!♻️

We are SO excited to announce that we have started a Recycling Project at Pestway ❤️♻️

By taking our cans and bottles to a recycling center, we are saving every cent and donating the money to different rehabilitation facilities.

Being that we as a company focus on ethical pest control and wildlife removal practices as well as exclusion projects with an emphasis on educating our customers to prevent future wildlife break-ins, we also work very closely with wildlife and rehabilitation facilities.

Because most rehabilitation centers are non-profit and need donations in order to continue doing their life saving work, we wanted to start a project specifically dedicated to giving back to the countless rehabilitation centers in Michigan!

We have now donated to 3 different rehabilitation facilities including Howell Nature Center, Out-Back Wildlife, and Marley’s Castle.

Happy National Bat Appreciation Day!!

Having been working with bats for years at by humanely removing them from MANY homes and businesses, you could say we get along with these mammals 🦇.

Bats, just like our team at Pestway, are their own cool version of pest control technicians 😎.

While bats living inside homes are NOT ideal and can cause quite a bit of issues and potential airborne illesses (Including their lack of financial contributions because they “swear they don’t use any electricity”) bats in the wild play a HUGE role in our ecosystem!

Being major pollinators, we can call these guys the emo bees of the pollinator family 🐝🖤
