Again, for the 3rd time I write a long post and I erased it. Is there not a way to pull back up what you just spent 30 minutes doing? Here is the short version: We have 2 trucks down, for hopefully one last week. The big truck spent 8 hours in the mud leaning against a dirt wall holding it up from tipping. Finally, the wrecker gets there in a machine over $1M, that literally lifted my 35,000lb stock truck plus 4 tons of trash out of the mud and on to stable ground. Moores Towing in Dallas, GA- Thank you. We have about 6 tons of trash we can pickup until we are full and the landfill opens again. The avg person creates about 50lbs of trash, which is about 240 houses. Lets call it 200 to 300. We must start at Bishop road, Roy Mason, Kelly Road and then we will do the following, not in particular order. We plan to run from night to day until the landfill opens. By tomorrow afternoon we will be caught up with Thursdays normal client. Please if we are missing your home but you see us out there, please come out and tell us. I will have giftcards for those who will help us pick up your trash as clients. If your can is not labeled, we will have stickers to label them. If you need a new can, please let us know. I wish I could remember everything on my previous message. I somehow started to speak about my better 3/4 on my erased message... my wife. She probably wont see this, but I wanted to say, She works so much harder than I do on my most tired day. A stay at home mother and mothers period do so much more in a day. No offense to dads, but my wife deals with so much more than I do in a day. She hasn't had any privacy in 7 years -NONE! Ladies, and mothers, you know what I mean. This is random, but in previous post it correlated so I wanted to recognize my wife because when I am working 30 hours straight picking up garbage, she takes care of 2 crazy kids. Finally Happy New Year. Route List One last item: I would also like to address a certain company that is telling our clients we are no longer picking up... You know this is not true. Additionally, putting a large orange sticker over the Hickory name as a means to hide who actually owns the can demonstrates a lack of character. Not to mention a lack of couth. Taking something that is not yours but making it look like it is yours with a sticker, doesn't make it yours! In fact, this is stealing. Invest the $100 it takes and get your clients the new cans they deserve as your new clients. The reality is we take those cans back which means your clients may not have a can to put their trash in. Please, keep your orange sticker only on cans you actually own! Thanks.

Dear Hickory Family, we have worked very hard to catchup but after careful consideration, we feel logistically it' makes more sense to get back to our normal routes so everyone knows their pickup day. At this time, we have started our weekly routes again, so your trash will be picked up on your normal day and by Friday all trash will be caught up. We may be making some route changes, but we will not be raising any rates from merger, and yes credits will be applied. Throughout this week I will be reaching out to discuss credits. We sincerely apologize and have made major investment and logistical improvements to minimize the risk of this happening again. I'm sorry for all of the stress this has caused you and your families. Credits will be applied and refunds ASAP. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving to All! UPDATE: My company recently merged with Hickory Sanitation. For complete transparency, without excuses, I would like to provide an explanation to the circumstances at we faced. Approximately 30 days ago, Scotts, backup truck went up in flames in his yard. Two weeks ago the truck we call "blue" started having transmission issues, leaking fluids, and riding hot until the broke down on Johnson Brady for 2 days. We got the truck back home thankfully completely disabled where it sits with a locked up engine about 4pm. Some of you may have seen the blue truck and pictures of my home tagged with unfortunate comments that I wont repeat, within 2 hours after barely getting it home posted on county sites was truly the peak. Feeling helpless without options when you care so much, in any circumstance is never easy. I would like to say two things: First, and again, please accept our apology. #2 we have 2 trucks that arrived from Tampa, FL last night at 2am! We are working all day today, tomorrow, Satuday, and Sunday to catch everyone up! Third: To all business owners within the garbage industry; if your trucks are ever disabled, I offer my services to your company so that we can help you stay caught up. I hope other business owners will see this and do the same, because helping our neighbors is what we should all do! My grandfather started this company 40 years ago, we are the 3rd generation. The explanations we traveled through the night from TAMPA, FL with a new 20 yard Freightliner and 13 yard truck and its sole purpose is to get everyone caught up! We will be working all day until our trucks are full. The good thing is, we have approximately 33 yards available which should absolutely catch us up by Saturday or Sunday night! I will post updates at 7pm everyday.

Sorry about the delay in updates been trying too get everything working out blue truck broke down Friday and just got back to or yard Saturday and mechanic is a week out how ever our plan is too run regular Monday pickups tomorrow and have another truck out working on the missed pickups still out there. We are trying to make sure everyone is picked up we are so sorry all this has happened. With the new driver one guy didn’t make it a half a day and didn’t say anything too us last Monday Just quit!! And that one of the many reasons things have been so messed up also we will have drivers out on thanksgiving day as well due to the missed pickups last week thank you all for your patience and understanding.
