Our sixth monthly highlight is here, and we are highlighting… Alarm boxes!🎉💩💙

Alarm boxes are used in most septic systems to alert homeowners when something is wrong with their system. They should have both an audio and visual alarm. The audio alarm can be silenced, with a button or switch, but the visual will stay on until the problem is fixed. Septic systems can alarm for high water, low water, no aeration in the system, or if the disinfection unit like the UV bulb is out.*If your system is alarming your pump will lock out, even if the pump is not the issue. This is the fail safe procedure for your system.

If you are experiencing an alarming event you should conserve water, and space out larger water usages like showers, laundry, and dishwashers. Pumping out your system will also buy you time before a licensed service professional can service your system.

Our fifth monthly highlight is here, and we are highlighting… Multi-Flo socks!🎉💩💙

Multi-Flo systems have 30 “socks”, divided into 3 sections, suspended in the tank. Each section contains 10 filter socks which are large tubes made of polyester and nylon fibers that are a crucial part of the treatment process. Bacteria collects on the socks to assist in the treatment of waste.

We examine your Multi-Flo socks at every routine visit to ensure that they are functioning properly. If your socks do fail, we have to pump out your system to enter the tank to replace them.

Our fourth monthly highlight is here, and we are highlighting… Risers!🎉💩💙

Risers, either plastic or concrete, are an important part of septic systems because:
-They save money by improving the efficiency of maintenance and pumping, eliminating the need to dig up and around lids to gain access to the system.
-They increase septic tank access which helps foresee and prevent future problems. Risers allow immediate access to components within your system catching small problems before they become bigger problems.
-They prevent foreign objects from entering the system by elevating the lids above ground level.

The Ohio EPA also mandates that all lids and risers be up to code for septic service providers and septic pumpers to safely service your system.
