Motherhood & being a buisness owner.
I think the hardest part of keeping this business up and running while starting a family has been the time and attention that both require from me.
The baby needs constant attention, but so does the “baby business” I started long before I had an actual baby.
I was answering clients from the delivery room, creating invoices while nursing, and working on an hour of sleep. There were no call-off days, no vacation days, and I was back to work within a week of giving birth. I strapped my baby to my chest and got back to it—not because I didn’t need a break, but because the business didn’t stop running just because I needed one.
My girls were counting on me. My clients were counting on me. And I felt a responsibility to continue leading, showing up, and keeping everything moving forward.
Even now, I struggle with the constant balancing act between the two. I have a whole family at home that depends on me, but I also have a whole business that, if it doesn’t succeed, impacts that same family. That weight can feel impossible sometimes.
But I know it’s worth it.
I love what we do. I love the DeAlbas Difference we make in our clients’ lives. Every kind comment, every stellar review, and every client who chooses to rebook with us reminds me why I keep going. Those moments give me hope that we will continue to grow and thrive.
The season of life we’ve been in—postpartum, exhaustion, and simply trying to survive the first year of my baby’s life—is finally beginning to shift. Things are getting a little lighter. I’m finding more space to breathe, more time to focus, and more opportunity to pour back into this ever-growing business and the love I have for it.
Motherhood has changed me, and so has building this business. Learning how to carry both at the same time has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
But it has also been one of the most rewarding.
So thank you for all the support from a very tried but excited mom! 💙
