Quick Fun fact:
I didnโt name Clean Delivered Laundry Company. My kids did. No, seriously.
Several years ago when we were trying to figure out what to call this little laundry business of ours, one of my kids had learned something in class that stuck with them:
๐ฌ๐ผ๐ ๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ ๐ฏ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐ฏ๐ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ป๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ.
Their reasoning was actually pretty solid. If someone sees the name of a business and has absolutely no idea what it does, chances are theyโre not going to go home, conduct an investigation, Google it, read the About Us page and solve the mystery.
So they said the name should justโฆ tell people what we do.
We ๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป your laundry. Then we ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ it back to you. Itโs a ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป๐.
And just like that, Clean Delivered Laundry Company was born.
Not particularly mysterious. Not trying to be fancy. No focus groups or expensive branding agency involved. Just my kids basically saying, โMom, please make this painfully obvious.โ ๐
Years later, I still love our name because it says exactly what we do. We take something off your plate, clean it, fold it, and bring it right back to your door.
Clean laundry, delivered. It really is that simple.
