Do you have a vase, tall glass, or water bottle to clean, and you can't fit your hand in it? Use warm water, dish soap and a handful of rice. Shake til clean and rinse.

Are you vacuuming correctly? Vacuum horizontally then vertically. This picks up trapped dirt better. Also, make slow passes, rather than fast passes. If you vacuum too fast, you are stirring more dirt into the air than you are picking up. Vacuum high traffic areas at least twice per week, and the rest of the carpets and rugs at least once a week.

How to clean your ceiling fans: Use a pillow case and wrap around the blade and pull. This keeps all the dust in the pillow case and won't fall on you or the floor and furniture underneath. If you are unable to reach the fan, use a microfiber mop. The handle helps you reach the blades and the dust will stick to the microfiber cloth. Repeat every other month.

How to clean your mattress: Spray vinegar on the mattress then sprinkle baking soda. Let it sit for one to two hours then vacuum. You should do this every 6 months. Also, your sheets need to be washed once a week and your pillows need to be washed about every 3 months.
