If you have poor indoor air quality, you might wonder what’s causing it. Indoor air quality is often caused by small gaps in the floor vents, which allows air from the crawlspace to be sucked into your house, particularly when your HVAC is running. Imagine that you are breathing air from the crawlspace into your lungs every time you turn on your HVAC system. This can cause a lot of problems, but one simple solution could be to repair and caulk around the floor vents to prevent the air from leaking into the house. This week we are celebrating Fred Alton! Although sad for us, Fred is retiring and moving to the next chapter in his life. Fred has been a Project Manager with us for over 6 years. Fred has been a friendly face, mentor and all around great guy and employee of First Call. Our clients and all of our staff are going to miss him on our projects and around the office. There are a few things that will greatly change in Fred's life; His golf swing, a decrease in stress and his increase in time that he will be spending with family and friends! We are wishing him well!

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of our technician position include but are not limited to;

Providing excellence in efforts to clean up properties that have been affected by water damage, fire damage, smoke damage, mold and other environmental impacts.
Responsibilities include being open to learning, growing yourself personally, responding to our clients needs and adding value to our team.
The candidate will be required to work in tight spaces, crawlspaces and attics.
The candidate will be required to lift 50lbs.
The candidate will be required to be on a 24 hour on call rotation to respond to our client’s needs.
The candidate will be required to utilize technology to track the job progress, photos and time.
The candidate will be required to work on ladders and scaffolding.
The candidate will be required to wear the proper PPE supplied by First Call Cleaning and Restoration, Inc, sometimes for long periods such as hours.
The candidate will be required to drive our vehicles in a safe manner not to endanger our staff or any other persons or property.
The candidate will be required to conduct themselves in a professional manner when representing our company during business hours and after business hours.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school or equivalent
Drivers license and clean driving record
Clean criminal history
Good attitude and humble approach to learning
Bi-lingual is a plus but not a requirement
Preferred Skills
Any construction or cleaning experience will be considered

The technician position is one of our most important position. You are on the front line. You are preforming in our client’s homes and businesses. We expect you to be your best, look your best and be a good representative of our company and team. This position allows you to experience many different aspects of the restoration and cleaning industry. You will be required to retain the information and instructions given and in return we will pay for formal training and certifications.

Really BIG chimney cleaning in Greensboro NC! This chimney had a bat infestation. We were called in to remove the guano from the space as it was causing an odor. Large or small, we can do it all!
