Mold keep rapidly reappearing after you scrub it off? Mold spores are floating in the atmosphere. They stick to the underside of the spa cover and quickly grow in the dark, warm humid environment. Not a big deal. Bleach, brush, rinse & gone. If it continously returns, that means it's hiding somewhere sending out spores. Could be inside the water soaked foam of the cover or under components. This spa was cleaned by supposed professionals but they didn't clean everywhere. Craig's Spa Cleaning will disassemble everything above the water line to expose all that hidden mold, kill it, scrub it off then reassemble the spa.

Yes, Craig's Spa Cleaning is still working today (Monday 1/26) thanks to new Yokohama tires. Slipping every now and again but nothing out of control with good traction. Except the slide through that 4-way-stop. If you're on the schedule I'll be there. Stopping is so overrated anyway.

Construction crew in your yard? Having shingles replaced? New fence? Your spa cover isn't a resting place for tools. First photo is result of hot drill, saw, whatever- being placed on the vinyl cover. It's melted. Other photo could have been anything heavy or with sharp edges. Seen this a lot!

During spring with the arrival of more frequent rain, ants will seek out dry protected areas to nest until the ground dries. A favorite place is in the foam insulation under spas and in the core of covers. Easy to build tunnels in the foam and is very protected. If you see a dirty pheromone trail such as this between the cover and shell, you have an ant problem.

Advanced Cleaning was completed on this spa purging the PVC pipes of biofilm and white mold. My camera sent down a few jets insured a thorough job was done. In the four months since, the water has been balanced every two weeks on schedule, water remain clean and clear even with regular use. Next cleaning, four months after the first and the purge chemicals added to the water to clean out the PVC pipes again reveals this. This is body oils, skin cells, dirt, lotion etc. It's not seen in the water and larger particles (over 5 microns) are caught in the filter. The rest sticks to the walls around bends in the PVC pipes and can be a breeding ground for bacteria and other harmful microorganisms. This is normal. This is why it's important to do a deep cleaning with PVC purge every four months.
