POV: Me as a realtor in 2026

Hanging upside down from a tree, fully extended, defying gravity and all logic — feels a lot like real estate right now.

Buyers: “We want 3,000 sq ft, good schools, updated kitchen, under $300k, and we need to close in 2 weeks.”
Sellers: “We want 40% over what we paid in 2021, no repairs, no contingencies, and we’ll need 6 weeks post-closing to move out.”
Me: stretching horizontally between a tree and a bird feeder at full body length just to earn a commission
This is fine. I’m fine. Everything is fine. 🏡

Today reminded me exactly WHY I’m doing this. 🇺🇸
A voter came at me hard today. A little Confrontational. And honestly? I welcomed it.
She had questions. Real ones. About the kids in our district. About what I actually stand for. About whether I was just another politician with a yard sign and a smile.
So we talked. We stood in a parking lot — no script, no teleprompter — just two people who care about children in NEISD.
By the time she walked away… I think she’s voting for me. 🙏
Here’s what I keep asking myself though —
Why is standing up for children’s education controversial?
I’m not here to pick a fight. I’m here to protect kids. To make sure every child in this district has a fair shot, a safe school, and teachers who are supported.
That’s it. That’s the whole platform.
If that makes people uncomfortable — good. It means we’re talking about the right things.
Early voting is happening NOW. Election Day is May 2nd
