Happy New year to all of my amazing clients! I wouldnβt be here without you! As we go into the new year, I need to address a few things as I feel that in order for me to still be here for each of you, I need to be very clear going forward.
Times are changing and are challenging as we all are feeling it in many ways. I have a policy in place for cancellations, which is that I request that you give me a 24 hour notice if you are unable to make your appointment with me. And if it is less than 24 hours notice, I am charging a fee of 50% of your scheduled appointment to cover the time I was there not making any money. Of course, I always try to fill the spot if I can. I do my best to accommodate all of you as much as possible. In order to do this, I pay for childcare a few days a week and sometimes even more to accommodate extra hours. Therefore, this policy is necessary to cover that expense in these situations of last minute cancellations.
Also, my supplies have increased significantly, yet again. I dread opening up my emails at this point. I have done my best to keep my prices reasonable so everyone can afford to keep coming. Unfortunately, I can not keep eating the cost, or I will not be here in a year to serve you all. With that being said, I will be looking at the prices other salons are charging and do my research to address this issue accordingly to be able to still make it work for all of us. If you remember I made a post a little while ago about what everyone was paying for their haircuts, some of that was shocking, and some was just not reasonable.
I went to school for this career because I love it. It is a Profession. I have experience and I have taken extra classes over the years in many different areas of my career. But I have invested thousands of dollars in this career to be here. And unfortunately hair and nails are a luxury for some, not all, and we get cut from the budget, and last minute ALL the time. Reason for this post.
So, short of changing my whole way of booking and requiring a deposit down for any appointment, I figured I would try to avoid that with a straight forward post about my experience in this career so it doesnβt get to that. I value each and every client who comes into my salon. I ask that you value my time in return, and understand I am here to make a living, and provide for my kids. I will continue to do my best to provide the best service and accommodate you. Thank you all so very much for your support over the years and going forward! I appreciate each and every single one of you and I look forward to our conversations! ππ
*** This is not made to scare or intimidate anyone with a huge price increase. Please donβt take it like that, but in order to continue to provide the best services, my business has to make some changes to continue to grow and improve to provide the quality you all deserve! Thank you for understanding!***
