๐Ÿ”ฅ Are you planning to view the annular โ€œRing of Fireโ€ eclipse at Bryce Canyon? Hereโ€™s (just about) everything you need to know.

โ˜€๏ธ When? Saturday, October 14th. The entire eclipse lasts just under three hours, from 9 a.m. to noon. The "Ring of Fire" (also known as "second contact") will last just under three minutes.

โ˜€๏ธ Where? There is no designated area for eclipse viewing and visitors are welcome to view it anywhere normally open to the public. Please follow all traffic and informational signs, roadside parking is not allowed, nor is camping outside designated campsites.

โ˜€๏ธ Who? You! At no point is it safe to view the Sun without properly-rated eye protection. Eclipse glasses will be available for purchase at the park Visitor Center and local businesses. Remember to wear sunscreen and a hat to prevent skin damage and stay hydrated by bringing ample water and salty snacks.

โ˜€๏ธ How? There is a high likelihood that parking capacity will be reached by early morning, requiring a restriction on private vehicle entries. The Bryce Canyon shuttle and Shared-Use path will be the most reliable ways to enter the park and access popular overlooks. Shuttles will run a specific eclipse route from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then return to normal operations after 3 p.m.

Tips for a successful visit:
๐ŸšŒ Pack your patience. Expect heavy congestion, long lines, and limited parking. Riding the shuttle or using the Shared-Use Path can reduce wait times.
๐Ÿšฐ Be prepared with water, food, and vehicle fuel for the day.
โ›” No roadside parking. Follow all traffic and informational signs.
๐Ÿš‘ Be aware of your surroundings. Vehicles blocking traffic flow or access for emergency vehicles will be towed and ticketed.
โ›บ Camp only in designated campgrounds. Overnight parking or camping in roadside pullouts, turnouts, or parking lots is not allowed.
โฐ Plan to find your spot at least an hour before the eclipse begins.

Happy eclipse viewing!
