You can keep the doors closed and the kitchen spotless and still find a mouse inside. Sometimes, the way in is a gap you’ve walked past for years without giving it a second thought. Mice can squeeze through openings about ¼ inch wide, roughly the width of a pencil.

That makes worn door sweeps, gaps around plumbing, and small openings along the foundation worth a closer look. Finding those access points is an important part of rodent prevention, especially when mice keep appearing despite your efforts to get rid of them.

Dave’s and Kevin’s Pest Control helps homeowners in Lafayette, New Iberia, Youngsville, and Broussard address mouse and rat problems with professional rodent control. Our services include trapping, removal, and exclusion to help close off the routes rodents use to enter your home.

If you’ve found droppings, chewed packaging, or an opening you’re unsure about, let’s take a look. Call today to schedule a rodent inspection and get a plan for protecting your home.

Mosquito season is officially peaking across South Louisiana with the recent moisture accumulation — and experts say now is the time to take action. Click the link below to watch the full video.

Jacob Cohn, CEO of Dave’s Pest Control and Arrow Termite & Pest Control, shared that while summer brings more time outdoors, it also brings a surge in mosquito activity. And the biggest culprit is often right at home: standing water.

🦟 Top Breeding Spots to Check Today:
• Clogged gutters
• Low spots where rainwater pools
• Ditches and drainage areas
• Buckets, toys, flowerpots, and anything that holds water

“Mosquitoes love breeding in water,” Cohn explained. “Pay attention to how water drains around your home after it rains.”

While store‑bought sprays can help, professionals rely on misting systems, backpack treatments, adulticides, growth regulators, and larvicides to target mosquitoes at every stage of life.

If mosquitoes are taking over your yard, we can help you reclaim your outdoor space.
