A cat seeking temporary cover is not choosing the street life. Survival forces hard decisions when temperatures drop and food and shelter disappear.

Kindness during extreme weather saves lives in quiet, unseen ways. A single safe spot for one night can carry an animal through the worst of a winter storm.

Compassion is often as simple as allowing shelter from the wind.
