Let's break it down, why do mosquitoes dominate New York City backyards?

Mosquitoes rely on:

🦟Shaded resting areas
🦟Moisture + standing water
🦟Dense foliage

That’s exactly why DIY sprays fail—they don’t target these zones.

Central Pest Control barrier treatments do.
We apply a residual treatment to:
✅Shrubs & bushes
✅ Fence lines
✅Shaded structures
✅Under decks

Result: Mosquitoes don’t land, don’t rest, and don’t survive.
Stop treating symptoms.
Start controlling the environment.

🚨 NYC TERMITES DON’T STOP… and neither do we. 🐜🛠️

Most people see a paver stones.
We see what’s happening UNDER it. 😳

Nothing says “teamwork” like 3 exterminators sweating in a Staten Island backyard while two guys drills concrete, someone else is yelling:

“WHO MOVED THE EXTENSION CORD?!” 😂

That’s termite control in New York City.

✔️ Drilling through slabs
✔️ Injecting treatment below the surface
✔️ Protecting support beams & foundations
✔️ Stopping termite colonies BEFORE major structural damage happens

Because termites don’t care if your home is in:
📍Brooklyn
📍Queens
📍Staten Island
📍Manhattan
📍The Bronx

If there’s moisture, wood, and hidden access… they’re showing up like unwanted roommates. 🏚️🐜

And let’s be honest — nobody wants to hear the words: “Yeah… the termites got into the joists.” 😬

At Central Pest Control, termite treatment is a TEAM sport. One person drill. One person explains to the customer why their basement suddenly sounds like NYC road construction. 😂

💥 The goal? Get BELOW the surface and stop the colony where it actually lives.

If you’ve seen: • Mud tubes • Swarming termites • Soft wood • Bubbling paint • Sagging floors

…it’s time for a professional termite inspection.

📞 Call Central Pest Control today and let’s protect your NYC property before termites turn your investment into lunch.

Mosquitoes don’t just show up—they build out your yard like it’s real estate.

We treat foliage, shaded areas, and resting zones so they never settle in. That’s the CPC difference.

🐭🚨 BREAKING: A mouse has officially claimed squatter’s rights in a New York City refrigerator. 🚨🐭

Somewhere in NYC, a homeowner opened the fridge for a midnight snack… and found a tiny uninvited tenant living his best life between the leftovers and almond milk.

The eviction attempt?
A spatula.
Yes… a full-grown adult armed themselves with kitchenware like they were storming Normandy. 🍳💀

But here’s the real lesson:

That mouse may be bold…
but even he knows better than to mess with a tight-fitting snap-on lid.

🥡 Why food storage matters in rodent control: • Mice can smell food through flimsy packaging
• Open containers = open buffet
• Tight sealed lids help protect food from contamination, droppings, and urine
• If rodents can’t access food, your home becomes far less attractive

NYC mice are built different.
They’ll scale pipes, sprint across countertops, and apparently move into your Frigidaire like they’re paying rent.
But if your leftovers are locked down tight?
Even the most determined refrigerator bandit is going home hungry.

Pro Tip:
If you ever find yourself chasing a mouse with a spatula…
it may be time to call professionals before he starts demanding a shelf of his own.

👇 Tell us honestly:
What’s the weirdest thing you’d grab to catch a mouse in a panic?

🌆🐜 Meanwhile on Staten Island… one brave winged termite was sent from the colony to investigate the strange human with the drill.

Picture this:
Beautiful scenic Staten Island backdrop.
NYC skyline shining in the distance.
Birds chirping.
And Sal is outside drilling the perimeter of a home for a termite treatment like it’s another day at the office.

Then out of nowhere…

BZZZT.

A single winged termite lands nearby like:

> “Excuse me sir… the colony would like to know what exactly you’re doing down there?”

Buddy flew all the way from the nest like he was an inspector from termite headquarters. 🕵️‍♂️🐜

Unfortunately for him:

• The drill holes were already in progress
• The treatment was already flowing
• His little skyline reconnaissance mission was WAY too late

Imagine being the termite chosen for the mission:

> “Go check on the humans near the harbor…”
…and arriving just in time to witness Sal turning the foundation into a no-fly zone.

That’s termite season in NYC.
When swarmers start showing up, they’re not “random flying ants.”
They’re a warning sign that a mature colony may be nearby and actively looking to expand.

Winged termites = reproductive swarmers.
Their job is to leave the nest, pair up, and start new colonies.

Their secondary job apparently is aerial surveillance over Staten Island.

🏙️ NYC skyline in the background.
🏠 Beautiful home in the foreground.
💀 Termite dreams collapsing in real time.

If you’re seeing winged termites around your property, especially near windows, doors, or foundation walls—don’t ignore it.
That often means the colony is established and growing.

Question for the comments:
What do you think the termite reported back to headquarters? 😂👇

Ants aren’t random—they follow trails back to a colony. Kill the trail or eliminate the source? We choose BOTH.

🎶 Start spreading the news… the rats were making it there…🎶

During COVID, while much of NYC slowed down, the rats did the exact opposite.
The city became one giant all-you-can-eat buffet with bonus real estate. 🐀🏙️

Outdoor dining sheds popped up on every block…
Construction sites sat active with gaps, debris, and harborage…
Trash piled curbside…
And suddenly the sidewalks looked less like Manhattan and more like a rodent relay race.

You’d be walking to grab dinner and see:

• Rats sprinting from under restaurant sheds like they had Broadway tickets 🎭
• Construction site burrows opening up next to scaffolding
• Sidewalks turning into rodent highways after dark
• Pedestrians doing that awkward NYC side-step when a rat cuts them off mid-block 😅

The truth?
When you combine food, shelter, warmth, and poor sanitation… rats don’t just survive—they THRIVE.

Restaurant sheds give them:
✔ Protected nesting areas
✔ Constant food scraps
✔ Hidden travel lanes
✔ Shelter from predators/weather

Construction sites gave them:
✔ Disturbed soil for burrowing
✔ Structural voids
✔ Plenty of cover

NYC didn’t belong to us after dark… it belonged to them.

Moral of the story:
If you build it… and leave food… they will come.
