We want to assure our customers that we are taking the current COVID-19 (Corona virus) situation seriously. Here are the actions we are taking at Laundryland:
1. Wiping down our doors, service counters, and folding tables regularly.
2. Sanitizing all washer and dryer handles, as well as laundry carts regularly.
3. We have reduced the price on our sanitizing rinses to just a penny. These rinses are available on all our washers and can be used to sanitize washers prior to washing your clothes.
Here are some tips for those coming to wash their clothes:
1. The virus can live on clothing for up to 3 days, so regular cleaning will prevent the spread of the disease.
2. Hot water is best. Follow the clothing manufacturer's instruction and use the warmest appropriate water setting.
3. Use the dryer. Viruses don't like the heat and the dryer will further prevent the spread of the disease.
4. Use the right amount of soap. Too much soap creates excess suds that cause dirt (and viruses) to remain trapped inside the fabric. The right amount of soap will properly clean and rinse from the clothing.
5. Avoid shaking dirty laundry. This will minimize the possibility of dispersing the virus through the air.
6. Clean and disinfect hampers. Place a bag liner in your hamper that is either disposable of can be laundered.
