One of the hardest parts of owning a cleaning business is something I never really thought about when I started… having to say goodbye to people who have become such a special part of our lives. 💔
This month, we’ve lost two beautiful souls to cancer, and my heart is just broken.
When you clean someone’s home, you become part of their world in a way that’s hard to explain. You get to know their routines, their families, their pets, and the little things that make them who they are. You share conversations, laughter, stories, and sometimes even tears.
Over time, they stop feeling like clients. They become friends. They become people you genuinely care about, people you look forward to seeing, and people you think about long after you’ve left their homes.
And when they’re gone, it hurts. It really hurts.
You realize how much someone can touch your life without even knowing it. The little conversations you wish you could have one more time. The smiles, the kindness, the familiar voices. All those small moments that suddenly mean so much more.
I know we’re “just a cleaning company” to some people, but to me, this business has always been about so much more than cleaning houses. It’s about the people who trust us enough to welcome us into their homes and their lives.
To the two beautiful souls we lost this month, thank you for the kindness, the conversations, the memories, and for letting us be a little part of your lives. You meant more to us than you probably ever realized.
My heart goes out to your families. I hope they know just how loved and special you were, even to the people who simply came to clean your homes.
I wish cancer didn’t steal so many wonderful people from this world.
We may have come into your homes to clean, but you left footprints on our hearts that will never be forgotten. 💔
Rest peacefully, beautiful souls. 🕊️
