Concrete & Construction Workers
Job Description
Now hiring! We are looking for competent Concrete and Construction Laborers to work on buildings, roads, concrete, and other construction projects. You will be part of a team that helps the plans of architects and engineers come to life. Commercial, Residential, and concrete project experience a plus. Compensation and pay are based on experience. You must have physical strength, endurance and work well with your hands. Good collaboration with others, following instructions, and all OSHA safety rules are important. Willing to train the right motivated candidate and anyone with interest in the construction field content with performing excavation and concrete laboring.
Beneficial Experience
• Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects
• Construct underground utilities Including, waterline, stormwater, and Sewer Services
• Unload and carry materials at construction sites (must be able to lift 75lbs)
• Slab, sidewalk, and curb concrete preparation, pour, and finish experience
• Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g. cement)
• Smooth and level new concrete or other materials
• Clean out site from debris and discarded material
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite
• Assist Main Operators in final grading and finish work
Beneficial Skills
• Experience as construction worker and utilities construction
• Concrete construction and finish work,
• Experience in operating equipment like plate compactor, drills, laser levels, cutoff saws, etc.
• Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc.)
• Knowledge of basic construction principles and methods
• Able to work in a team oriented environment
• Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Ability to take direction and adapt to the needs of our construction projects
• High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time with benefits (paid holidays, health insurance, retirement plan)
Timing: Positions open immediately
Salary: $20 - $28/hr depending on experience with room for advancement

Responsibilities

• Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects

Skills

• Experience operating small equipment (skidsteer, mini excavator, etc.)
• Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc.)
• Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods
• Able to work in a team
• Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
