Steeple Mantle Clock

This is a steeple styled chiming mantle clock from The New England Clock Co. Runs on a keywound 8 day movement, and strikes the half hour and hour on two-tuned chime rods. This clock was made in the early 70s.

The movement was completely overhauled and readjusted by me, winds nice and smooth,
and comes with my two-year guarantee on the clock's movement. Runs strong and sounds beautiful

I run a local clock repair business and would be happy to answer any questions you may have!
$300 or best offer.

Eluxa "Trianon" Shelf clock w/ matching shelf.

This is a very well-made reproduction of a 1700s Swiss Neuchâtel style shelf clock, with its matching shelf. The shelf is meant to be secured to the wall and the clock sits on that. Has an 8-day, time and strike movement. One strike on the half hour, and the hour count strike on the hour, on a clear crisp bell.

The movement was completely overhauled and readjusted by me, winds nice and smooth,
and comes with my two-year guarantee on the clock's movement. Runs strong and sounds beautiful

"Empress Josephine" chiming mantle clock from the Franklin Mint collection.

This clock is from 1987 and is long discontinued. This clock has an 8-day keywound, striking movement on double bells on the hour and half. The movement was recently completely overhauled and readjusted by me, winds nice and smooth,
and comes with my two-year guarantee on the clock's movement.

The clock is in pretty good condition, with the only real blemish on the clock being the very top piece, which opens to reveal a hide-away space to keep the clock's key, and whatever else. The top piece at one point broke in a clean break, and was glued back together. Pictures will show the glued area. Otherwise, this clock is really in great shape.

Runs strong and sounds beautiful!

Hey everybody! Two things! Tomorrow night is the night to set your moondials moon/sun smack in the middle, in case you're unsure if yours is accurate. Also, keep an eye out, I'll be posting three different mantle/shelf clocks you or maybe someone important to you would love! Stay warm, and stay friendly everyone!

"Overwinding" a clock, is actually a big myth, and not true at all!

Hey all! Hope everyone is staying warm and stress free during this hectic holiday season.

A healthy running and kept mainspring (this is the name of the part you're winding up) will wind only one way, with ease. If it won't wind, keeps spinning as you wind, or won't run when wound, your mainspring most likely needs servicing or replacing. Like brake pads on a car, its best replacing all at once. A fully wound clock, that refuses to run, isn't overwound, its stuck and could be for a variety of reasons.

Message me, or give me a call, 908 770 4824, to set up an appointment for a clock service!

Nervous about transporting your clock? No problem! I do housecalls! Housecalls is mainly my business as I work from home.

Lets get those clocks chiming again!!!
Stay warm ya'll!!!!!

Good evening to you all! Hope everyone is staying nice and warm; I guess its safe to say, Winter is here and here to stay awhile.

Something I wanted to bring up tonight; its a full moon!!!!! Tonight is a chance to set your clocks moondial correct! If it needs correcting, read this following paragraph;

To get your moondial accurate, slowly but gently, use your finger (I suggest using cotton gloves, not bare finger as this can help corrode or effect the metal on the dial itself) to move the dial clockwise. It will make a "click" noise for every days advance. If it doesn't easily move, DON'T FORCE IT! Wait a few hours and try again. The reasoning for it not easily moving is because the separate mechanism that runs the moondial, is locked into its advancing stage (a pin is locked on a wheel, preventing it from easily advancing. This pin rotates a counter wheel, rotating the dial, one click at a time).

Need any help? Reach out to me! Need a clock repaired or serviced, I'm very happy to help!

Keep in mind, I repair most all clocks, and I specialize in cuckoo and grandfather clock repairs.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays!!!!!

Hello Everyone!!! Hope you guys are taking advantage of this low humidity!

So I wanted to discuss something about the regular upkeep of a clock. Much like a vehicle, a clock also needs regular servicing and maintenance to provide miles, or in this case, years of smooth service. Without regular servicing for a clock, overtime things will wear prematurely or go very obtuse and way off balance, seldom leading to expensive repairs in the near or far future. I personally and professionally recommend a grandfather clock serviced every 4-5 years, mantle/wall clocks once every 5, and cuckoo clocks once every 2-3 years (due to cuckoo mechanisms sensitive and finicky behavior).

A very common comment I get is, that someone has had a clock running for years. They never had it serviced and didn't feel a need to ever have it serviced, as it was still running good. Now, yes this happens, a lot, but then I can also guarantee that kept running as it is, will lead to a much bigger expensive repair bill in the future, sometimes even leading to a full movement replacement, which can get expensive.

So, if you have a grandfather clock, and it's working great, let's keep it that way!!! Message or call me to discuss pricing and what your clock may need. As well as grandfather clocks, I also specialize in cuckoo clock repair and servicing as well. Repairs done also on most other clocks as well.

Give me a gander! Come talk to your friendly neighborhood clocksmith! Enjoy today everyone!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone! Hope everyone is ready for the summer!

Did you know that just like a car, most clocks also require regular service to keep them running, for years of enjoyment. Without regular services, you're running a risk of future very costly repairs than it is to keep a clock serviced regularly. I professionally recommend grandfather, wall, and mantle clocks to be serviced once every four to five years, and cuckoo clocks once every two to three years. Cuckoos are recommended a service more often because of the bit-more-fragile nature of all cuckoo clock mechanisms and all of its moving parts.

Message or call me today for more information about how to get your clock back to 100% and happy!
Any other clock issues? Give me a holler!
I also repair most other clocks (antique, etc....) as well as battery and electric clocks

Stay humble, and spread love!

Good afternoon to you all! Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather today.

I wanted to bring up something I've noticed is often asked of me; does the moon dial on my grandfather clock actually work? Yes! It actually does. It follows the same revolution as the moon in the sky, as long as the clock is consistently running 24/7, it will stay accurate.

Unlike the clock itself, the moon dial rotates counter clockwise, and rotates one "click" to the left, each day at the same time. Some clocks have a gradual rotation that spans over a few hours, also at the same time (clock to clock, the time is variant).

To get your moondial accurate, wait for the next full moon, and slowly but gently, use your finger (I suggest using cotton gloves, not bare finger as this can help corrode or effect the metal on the dial itself) to move the dial counter clockwise. It will make a "click" noise every advance. If it doesn't easily move, DON'T FORCE IT! Wait a few hours and try again. The reasoning for it not easily moving is because the mechanism that runs the moondial, is locked into its advancing stage (a pin is locked on a wheel, preventing it from easily advancing. This pin rotates a counter wheel, rotating the dial, one click at a time).

Need any help? Reach out to me! Need a clock repaired or serviced, I'm very happy to help! Keep in mind, I repaired most all clocks, and I specialize in cuckoo and grandfather clock repairs.
