Every step has a purpose.

I start with the wheels, then move into a pre-soak to loosen contamination before the contact wash. After the wash, I flood rinse to help sheet the water off the paint, use compressed air to blow water out of the tight areas, apply a drying aid, and finish with a careful wipe-down.

It’s all about adapting the process, maintaining control, and delivering the best finish possible.

Every vehicle starts with an inspection. I could tell the water spots in the grille were going to take the longest, so I removed those first before starting the pre-soak and wash. Sometimes the inspection changes the order of my process, and that’s exactly why I inspect every vehicle first.

Every step has a purpose. Pre-soak and rinse to remove as much contamination as possible, followed by iron remover, a thorough contact wash using clean microfiber towels, and clay bar treatment to leave the paint smooth and properly decontaminated. Then it was polished to restore the gloss and clarity before revealing the final result. ✨

This Chevy Tahoe had trim that was extremely dull, faded, and chalky-looking. The running boards, rear trim, cowl, front plastics, and roof rack had all lost their rich black finish.

Restoring exterior trim can completely change the appearance of a vehicle. Sometimes it’s the details people overlook that make the biggest visual impact.

I’ve eliminated buckets from my wash process.

The soap is already on the vehicle, so I work section by section using quality microfiber towels instead of a bucket full of soapy water. This approach lets me slow down, focus on each area, and avoid the stress of products drying or having to re-foam the entire vehicle.

Every detailer develops a process that works for them. This is the method I’ve tested, refined, and trust to deliver consistent results while protecting my clients’ vehicles.

A brand-new vehicle doesn’t always mean a defect-free finish.

This vehicle arrived with heavy holograms, embedded water spots, and unnecessary marring, so the process had to change before it was ready for a ceramic coating.

Every step had a purpose: pre-soak, contact wash, decontamination, clay where needed, polishing, and continuous inspection.

The picture-in-picture shows exactly how the dealership delivered this vehicle to my client. It’s a reminder to always inspect a new vehicle in direct sunlight—not just under showroom lights.

Quality detailing isn’t about rushing to the coating. It’s about making the right decisions to protect the integrity of the paint.
