This is Olivia. This post is personally from me and not the company, but it applies to Eucalyptus Cleaning LLC, so I figured I'd share with our clients and following. ❤️ Please forgive the length... 😬

I'm a cleaning lady, a wife, mama, and grandma; not in that order obviously. I have never gone to school for business or anything of any consequence and never without quitting before I achieved the degree.

I do, however; watch the news. I know basic math. I experience this economy, alongside all of you. I am a bit of an adrenaline j***y and hippie, hater of bullies, and big business makes me nauseous at the greed...
Lastly, I have Google, so here are the numbers Google has.

Target labor costs is 20% - 30% of your net revenue

Walmart has their labor costs at a measly 14%-15% of their net revenue.

Starbucks is at 20-35%. Better, but...
..I have always struggled with wanting to cause some kind of change towards progress in my lifetime. I always thought it'd be at a protest or something dramatic.😜 I have little power over a lot of things, but I have this small, baby company that does not even slightly compare to Walmart or Starbucks, but I am proud to say that we are at 40% labor costs this week. Last week was over 50%, but we aren't prepared for that level of a dive just yet. Hopefully, one day. This does not include their tips or weekly gas budget.

I would offer so much more if I could. I guess that's my point. I'm going to take a gamble on this and see if paying people their worth and having my company SHARE PROFITS with our team works.

It all may go up in smoke, but business any other way isn't for me anyway. This, I can control to some degree. Billy and I can offer more to our employees while also offering more to our clients.

They still don't make a living wage in my opinion (or in Google's). I hope to fix that for them soon. Other business owners can join me. I bet it'd end up helping a lot of our local families during this time. We need to be a community in action and not just in word. Plus, if we couldn't do it without them, then they are a huge part of our success. Treat them as such...❤️🌿 Peace, Love, and 🐔 Grease

He is healed and home with Jesus. While we are heartbroken on earth, what a celebration Dustin is having in Heaven.

Chief Richards put it best…..Dustin was the best of us. He was unwavering in his duty, courageous, and faithful until the end.

Please, please continue to pray for the love of his life, Emily, Sgt. Chad Krish (his brother), and his entire family…..blood and blue. 💙

We lost a contract yesterday. The work was done. We didn't lose it because of any wrongdoing.

The tech we had hired for the position though now doesn't have work. Does anyone know of any jobs currently hiring? We want to help him find employment. He is a great employee!

Before starting Eucalyptus, I was a pharmacy tech. Before that a bus driver and before that a wildland firefighter. Oh, and for the last 22 years, a mama.

I have spent 41 years trying to put my own little life together, always hoping my little life would matter. I know I clean houses for a living (and no, it was never on my list of careers), but I couldn't be happier. This is a legacy no one can take from me. I have and will always use Eucalyptus as a vehicle to help others and that leaves me fulfilled.
