I hope everyone is staying safe! Here are a few tips for the 2021 Snowmaggedon!! 😂
-Open cabinet doors under sinks that back up to exterior walls (use space heaters if your lines are already frozen)
-If you have a tankless water heater located in the attic, point a space heater at the water lines under the unit (if a traditional water heater, focus the heat toward the top of the water heater)
-Outside tankless water heaters. Use towels to insulate the piping under the unit
-Leave faucets dripping (it may help and it sure doesn’t hurt anything)
-WRAP OUTSIDE FAUCETS!! This is a given but if nothing else is available, use a towel or two
-For outside kitchenettes, use space heaters or shut off valves to fixtures that you won’t be using in the next few days
-If water lines are frozen in the attic, there’s not much you can do other that use space heaters to help thaw them out
I hope that these tips help somebody. Unfortunately, there’s not much that I or anyone else can do until the temperatures get above freezing, and the condition of pipes won’t be known until that time so until then, stay warm, stay safe and if you have questions, text (or call) 601-605-2300
