A benefit dinner and silent auction for the family is planned from 3-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Yesterday’s Gone in Brainerd.

Some may have heard Crystal Cleaners is Closing. After 40 years this business is coming to an end. Please collect any belongings as soon as possible! This is the story behind this business decision.

Some of you have seen recent posts about the business owner Susan Carmichael Bricker; asking for prayer as she has navigated these last three weeks of hospitalizations and nursing home care for what the medical community calls glioblastoma. It’s the most aggressive form of brain cancer that you can get and only a very small fraction of people survive it. Cancer treatment centers fight it with a combination of chemotherapy and radiation at the same time and it is speculated that the treatment would only extend her life a couple of weeks and therefore she has made the decision to not pursue the treatment because it is that advanced.
As you can imagine, brain cancer affects many functions of our body and soon it will steal Susan’s ability to recognize the people she has loved for many years and then cause other organs to quit working as well. Susan is now on hospice care and comfortable at home!
We are organizing a benefit and Silent Auction for Susan Friday October 11th at Yesterday’s Gone in Brainerd.
