Pool service is an absolute year round commitment on Anna Maria Island. Here's the truth...Florida's climate is beautiful but it is not easy on your pool. Between the heat, the humidity, the salt air, and the constant flow of guests coming and going, your pool is working harder than you may think.

Here's the nitty gritty 👇
🌿 Algae doesn't take a season off. Warm temperatures year round mean algae can take over faster than you'd expect, even in the cooler months.
🌬️ Salt air is harsh on equipment. Living on the Gulf means constant exposure to salt and moisture. Without regular maintenance your equipment wears down faster and repairs could get expensive.
🏖️ Vacation rental pools never really rest. If guests are coming and going year round your pool needs to be guest-ready year round. There's no off season when your property is generating income.
☔ Florida rain throws off your chemistry. Heavy rainfall dilutes your pool's chemical balance quickly. Without regular monitoring you won't know until it's already a problem.

Meet Tanner 🌊☀️

From Illinois winters to Anna Maria Island sunshine...yeah, Tanner made the right call. 😄

Tanner actually moved to Florida specifically to join the Splash Squad team in June of 2025. Coming from a state with basically two seasons, cold and colder, he soaks up every bit of the Florida sunshine, blue skies, and the kind of wildlife diversity that keeps an animal enthusiast like him genuinely excited about his surroundings.

He loves the nature of the job with it being self led, island paced, and full of great people to meet along the way. Tanner took to this work fast, took it to heart even faster, and shows up every single day with pride for the company he represents.

When he's off the clock you'll find him skateboarding, exploring the riverwalk with his pitbull Dozer, or just taking in everything Florida has to offer. Tanner, we're glad you traded in the cold for the sunshine and we are so happy you're part of our squad! 💙

Turtle season is just about here 🐢 and on Anna Maria Island, that means we all have a role to play, including pool owners.

From May through October, sea turtles nest right here on our beaches. As a local pool service team we are known to rescue the occasional disoriented hatchling ourselves, and we take that very seriously. 🌊

If you own a home or vacation rental here's what you need to know this season:
🌙 Turn off outdoor lights at night because hatchlings follow the moonlight and artificial lights can send them the wrong way.
🏊 Check your pool because a disoriented hatchling can end up in a pool. If you find one, contact us or Anna Maria Island Turtle Watch immediately.
🧹 Keep your pool area clear because debris and chemicals can be harmful if a turtle finds its way in.

We love this island and everything that makes it special. Turtle season is a reminder of why we do what we do, right here in our own backyard. 🐢💙
