Tips from the pros!
Can you get away with using one towel for everything?
The short answer is no ! This is especially important in the automotive appearance industry. Towels used for drying the door jams and tires should never be used on windshield. Common sense and best practices dictate “Color Coding.” It is a term borrowed from the electronic industry. Simply explained it is the system of designating one color of towel for one task. For example, assigning blue towels for windshield drying, red towels for body drying, black towels for drying door jams ETC.
The type of towel chosen for each job also matters. Example! Waffle-Weave microfiber fabric makes the best glass-cleaning towels. Why? Because the waffle-like indentation catch water while the smears, and grime come off glass surfaces. What about the body drying towels? Flat woven microfiber towels. What are the best selections in this category? You can go good,better, and best. The diversity of the choice rests in size and weight.

Leather care

It doesn’t take much to keep your interior in great shape!
Most of your stains are organic and will come out with our interior cleaning
process!
There are two types of leather: vat-dyed and spray-on dyed leather. With vat-dyed leather, the color is obtained by immersing the hide in dye. With this process, the color penetrates completely through the leather!
With spray-on leather the color is “painted “ on.
Most of the vat-dyed leather has come out of Europe, US and Japanese manufacturers tend to stick to the spray on dye leather.
Some of the natural grain of the hide is lost and overall life of the leather diminished. vital nutrients and oils !
In this case the leather needs to be rejuvenated to restore the leathers suppleness and afterwards maintained with the proper leather care! That will leave non-greasy leather that will replenish the natural oils.
Stay away from greasy lanolin base products. Applying lanolin to leather can interfere with the natural oil balance, as the heavy lanolin molecules can overpower and replace the leather’s natural oils.

People don’t realize that the brake dust is going to damage the wheels on their cars !!

Brake dust is a dark-colored buildup of friction material from the brake pads and iron from the brake rotors.

What can brake dust do to your wheels?

Brake dust will start to corrode the clear coat and eventually over time start to corrode the wheels.
Painted wheels will over time start to have the paint chip off and peel from the corrosion. If the corrosion and damage gets bad enough it can lead to rusting and safety issues as well.
The damage can be permanent if not completely cleaned in a regular basis!!

Here at Eddie’s we try to minimize the potencial damages in the long run by always cleaning the wheels inner barrel and rims with the special application of cerama-boost protectant coating spray every time your vehicle is getting washed.
