What do I know about mental health? ✨

Quite a bit actually. More than I ever thought I would. You see, I celebrated 8 years sober in April. Being in recovery was certainly not something on my vision board or to do list. Abusing alcohol was not something I grew up around and it didn't happen to me until later in life quite frankly. But it is part of my story.

I know tending to one's mental health is hard work. I know that it requires you to stop living on autopilot. And I know that it’s 100% worth it. 💋

My mental health toolbox is my most valuable possession. It’s what allowed me to rebuild my life with clarity & purpose and what keeps me grounded daily. 🧘‍♀️🔥

Sobriety gave me the space to actually *look* at my mental health, and the tools I’ve gathered since then are what keep me "Fabulous."

Whatever you’re walking through, remember: you don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need to have the right tools in your bag. 🧰👛

Hey girl hey! 💋 Let’s talk about your "Toolbox." 🧰

When life gets loud and the autopilot takes over, what do you reach for to stay grounded or to get off that hamster wheel? Having a mental health toolbox isn't just "nice to have": it’s essential for survival.

Here are a few tools in mine (and a starting point for yours!):
✅ Counselor or Psychologist (The professionals are worth it!)
✅ Support Groups (Community is medicine)
✅ Journaling (Get it out of your head and onto the paper)
✅ Rest (The ultimate requirement. Nap, girl, nap!)
✅ Long walks: completely unplugged.
✅ Talking to a friend who "gets" it. This should be someone you trust and who listens without judgement.
✅ Firm boundaries (The ultimate act of self-care)

Mental health isn't a destination; it's the way you travel. 🧭✨

If you’ve been feeling a bit "off", it might be time to check on these 5 pillars of Mental Health*.

🧠 Emotional Well-being: Identifying and managing emotions, fostering a positive outlook, and handling negative feelings productively.

🧠 Psychological Resilience: Building the ability to cope with daily stress, life challenges, and trauma.

🧠 Social Connectivity: Nurturing relationships, seeking social support, and interacting effectively within communities.

🧠 Behavioral Health: Adopting healthy habits—proper sleep, balanced nutrition, and limiting substance use.

Let’s have a heart-to-heart about your productivity problem.

Be honest, you are measuring your worth based on your to-do list and how many items have been crossed off at the end of the day. Right?
Here me out - YOU'RE SO MUCH MORE THAN YOUR TO DO LIST!

For years, I treated rest like a trophy. Honestly, I don't think I really knew how to rest for most of my 20s and 30s. And, that led me to crash and burn (more on that another time). In truth, I was running on fumes.

Sound familiar? We just keep going, doing more because we think we have to *earn* the right to rest.

But here’s the deal: Rest isn’t a reward for being productive. It’s a requirement for being present and the best version of yourself. ✨

True transformation happens in the quiet moments, not just the busy ones. So today, I’m giving you permission (not that you need it!) to un-hustle. Stop treating your soul like a battery that only gets charged when it hits 0%.

You deserve to feel good right now, not just when the work is "done."

Let’s talk about something we usually write off as "vanity."
👗 FASHION and STYLE! ✨

Here's a secret - I do not like winter and I was STRUGGLING with it more than usual this year. Winter 2026 in New England was brutal, iykyk. ❄️🥶

My energy and mood were LOW as we entered "Spring". Girl, it has felt like Winter all the way into May this year! ☁️🧤

The fix? A conscious wardrobe revamp! 💄 Using what I have but also thoughtfully listing out some items I could add to my wardrobe to mix things up, add energy and style (and comfort, because WFH life and it's still cold!) which in turn boosted my mood and motivation. 👢💃

Here’s the deal: Style is Mental Hygiene. 🧠✨

It’s not about how the world sees us; it’s about how we see ourselves. Being intentional about your daily look 👠 is a way of telling your soul, "I care for you, we are capable, and we are showing up today looking fabulous!"

When you feel stuck or on autopilot, changing your outfit can actually shift your internal state. It’s self-preservation with a side of flair. 🙌🏻

Ever feel like you’re starring in a movie of your own life, but you’re just watching from the wings? 🎭

Hey girl hey! Let’s talk about that "Autopilot" trap. You know the one... where you’ve checked all the boxes. Yeah. But you also know that it has been at a cost.
That cost - your soul is doing a slow fade. 📉 It’s exhausting. It’s uninspired. And honestly? It’s not very fabulous.

I see you. You are over there Googling, desperately searching for something more you can do to add fulfillment to your life because that box was checked but if you are honest with yourself, it hasn't deserved that check for a lonnnnng time!! But what if the secret isn’t doing more? What if it’s the Un-hustle? ✨

Living on Autopilot:
✔️ Just going through the motions
✔️ Feeling "fine" but totally unfulfilled
✔️ Disconnected from your own sparkle

Leaning in to Un-hustling:
💃 Less doing, more living
🧭 Finding clarity over chaos

Hey girl hey! 💋 Let’s talk about the "Autopilot Test."

As a driven woman who loves to learn, grow, and see results, it is so easy to stay in that "busy mode." But what happens if this goes unchecked? We end up in overdrive, living on autopilot, and using productivity as the only measure of our worth. ✈️

How do you know if this is you?
Here is the "Autopilot Test" -
Ask yourself one simple question: When is the last time you asked yourself what you REALLY want?

And don't give me the quick answer like, "Are you kidding? I have goals! I’m hitting X by the end of the quarter!" No, girl. When is the last time you really considered what would make you happy, or what your soul is actually craving? ✨

When we stop living on autopilot, we finally start living fabulous.

Silver heels on the Boston steps... because why wait for a gala to feel fabulous? 👠✨

This look has a few of my faves: silver heels mixed with denim. It’s a dash of glamour meeting real-life comfort and practicality.

Fabulous shouldn't be saved for special occasions; let's normalize it in the everyday. Yes, "Fabulous" is a bold, expansive, EXTRA kind of word but why not have this experience daily? It can be bold in small ways - like the silver shoes.

I hear you saying, "Yeah but I just don't feel it. I put on my sparkly top and yes, I love it but I am feeling dim on the inside, like a fraud."

Girl, that's because you need to realign. Somewhere along the way you have lost track of what lights you up and there's a chance you are looking in all the wrong places for that spark. We change, we evolve, even when we don't realize it. Life happens and it shifts us.

So, what does "fabulous on your own terms" look like for you today? A bold red lip? The "good" perfume? Or those shoes you’ve been saving?

I’ve been quiet. Really quiet. 😶

The truth? I hit a wall in December. Between the holidays and the reality of a high-intensity corporate season, my 'recovering Type-A' self needed to pace myself, know my limits and well, recover.

I chose to 'un-hustle' before I completely burned out. And honestly? It was the best decision I could have made for my own Fabulous Living. Don't let me fool you, though: those perfectionist tendencies die hard. It wasn’t always easy, but it was absolutely necessary.

I’m re-emerging with more clarity, more spark, and a reminder that it’s okay to pause when the autopilot takes over.

I’m back, I’m refreshed, and I’m ready to help you do the same. 💖
