What an experience! is something that I’d heard of, but never thought that plumbing was a portion of it. Well this year I was volunteered to be the chair of the first ever Plumbing competition.

At first, I really had no idea what to expect. But as it got closer and had students from all over Idaho coming to compete I realized just how important this was.

We ended up having 8 high schoolers compete in our competition from all over Idaho to show their plumbing skills, that are dedicated to the plumbing trade. It was so awesome to see what these kids could do at such a young age that most people don’t get to experience until much later in life.

It was a very humbling and rewarding experience. Chairing an event for the first time in a state is not easy. And I could not have done it alone. I am so thankful for this wonderful community we live in. And also so excited to see young people so dedicated to this trade.

I want to give a huge shoutout to for donating all the plumbing materials for this event. This was a huge step up from them and made the event real world for these kids.

Last but not least, our team here . We had several employees involved in helping out with this and they got to deal with me being stressed the last couple weeks getting this all together 🙃

All in all the event turned out great. The kids did fantastic and all of our judges were very impressed with what these high school programs are teaching them. We’re so proud to see the future of our trade come around to make sure we always have the next generation of plumbers.

The boys killed it on a sewer turnaround last week when their septic tank failed! Dealing with table rock is no joke. It’s actually rock 😉 Jackhammers, excavators, and some sweat got this one done. Cloverdale Plumbing is there when you need a plumber bad!
