Replacing some rotting 1½ cast iron drain pipe that was so bad I couldn't even do an epoxy spray coating if I wanted to.

Just think if we didn't have modern hydraulics and excavators, there would be a lot of shovels out and people behind those shovels. Be grateful for Excavators and modern plumbing!

Look at the whole picture and not just the immediate problem in front of you!! Maybe next time we'll just modify the 4" stack to receive drain water directly from the sink.

Don't push your luck- bring extra!
Doing trenchless pipe repair is high stress, requiring everything to work together. If one part fails, the whole thing can fall apart!

.addict I use the rapid set pretty much all the time. It's a balmy 70°F but cooled down to 40°F in my lunch bucket. About 3 or so minutes from mixed to in the pipe. Let sit for 50 minutes to be sure we're good and cured. This was a transition from 4" to 6" pipe, 32" long patch. I'll have to post in the pipe video later.

This is becoming a bigger problem as more neighborhoods are getting utility companies coming through and installing new underground lines such as this phone/internet conduit.
This internet line is running right through the sewer pipe and plugged up the entire house and flooded out the basement. Plus it's an AirBnB so does the owner get compensated for loss of income? Tricky situation to be sure.
