CSIA on Good Morning America

Last week, CSIA Master Chimney Sweep® Michael Segerstrom and Certified Chimney Sweep® Chris Long performed pop-up chimney inspections alongside the Good Morning America crew. The story highlighted the need for annual inspections and the dangers of chimney fires and carbon monoxide.

There were more than 20,000 fires related to fireplaces and chimneys in 2015 that resulted in 20 deaths, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
