🧹🏡 Let's talk about these new Airbnb checkout rules!
As Airbnb cleaners, we have mixed feelings about this one! 🤔
We completely understand that guests pay a cleaning fee and shouldn't be expected to deep clean a property before leaving. BUT there's a difference between cleaning a home and simply respecting someone else's home! 👏
Taking out your trash or starting the dishwasher isn't asking you to clean the entire house. It's simply being considerate of the people coming in behind you.
What many guests don't realize is that cleaners often have just 2–5 HOURS to turn over an ENTIRE property! We're talking multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, loads of laundry, dishes, restocking, sanitizing, and making sure everything is spotless for the next guests.
And here's the part nobody seems to be talking about...
💰 If the workload increases, so will cleaning fees! More work means more time, more labor, and ultimately more money. Which is exactly what guests are already complaining about!
We understand BOTH sides, but we also think the cleaners deserve a voice in this conversation.
Paying a cleaning fee doesn't mean basic respect and consideration should go out the window. ❤️
At the end of the day, we're just trying to make sure the next guests receive the same clean, welcoming home that YOU walked into!

What's your opinion? Should guests still be expected to do a few simple checkout tasks, or should everything fall on the cleaners?
