Please set aside a minute to read this.. This has been a hard decision that I have gone back and forth on for months. I have decided to step back from the company and focus more on my family. As many of you know this is not my full time job and it has been something that was done on the side. A lot of time, hours and hard work has gone into this company. In the last year I feel as if I have lost my sense of purpose and have drifted further away from what matters most, my family. I have come to realize that the most important thing I can do is to become present for my family and spend more time with them, that requires me stepping down from owning a business. Success comes at a price, every blessing also has a dark side, and I am no longer willing to sacrifice watching my boys grow up.
I want to emphasize that I am extremely grateful for all the support, kindness and understanding through the ups and downs of this business. There have been good months and bad months for me, I am truly grateful that everyone understood that I am human and I was putting 100% into this. I have had the opportunity to make many friends and to interact with many new people, and this has made me a better person. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! It has meant the world to help you!
So….. What now? I am leaving this company in very capable hands, the new owner is local and I trust dearly. She will mirror my values, work ethics, and standards. She will continue what was started and only improve and make it better, she will be able to give this company 100%. The feeling of a local, friendly and down to earth company will not change, she will emulate my values and hard work. I will not be completely gone, as I will still help her transition and still fill in when I am needed. To all our current customers there is a letter in the mail where I will explain more. I also will still be readily available to anyone with questions. We look forward to this next chapter and the evolution of this company. Thank you all again, I will leave you with a favorite proverb, “He who chases two hares, catches neither”
