Puppy vs. pen. Pen lost. 🖊️🐶 Cleaning Tip #1 is live hairspray really can save a leather couch (with a few important rules).
How we did it:
1. Spot-test first on a hidden area (back or underside of a cushion).
2. Spray a little alcohol based hairspray onto a damp cloth it’s not recommended to spray straight onto the leather. (I won’t lie, I did)
3. Gently blot the stain. Don’t rub. Repeat with a clean section of cloth until the ink transfers off.
4. Wipe the area with a clean damp cloth to remove any sticky residue.
5. Finish with a leather cleaner, then a leather conditioner so the hide stays soft and protected.
Fabric furniture? Same idea blot, don’t rub….then follow with an upholstery cleaner .
This works best on fresh stains and finished/pigmented leather. Skip it on suede, nubuck, or unfinished aniline leather, and always condition afterward.
