Today our team performed a series of test holes to evaluate subsurface conditions for a proposed septic system installation, in Cheshire CT. The purpose for the test holes is to get a direct observation of soil composition, drainage characteristics, and depth to groundwater or restrictive layers. Ensuring the system design would meet local health codes and function efficiently long-term.

Last week our team worked on a project in Prospect CT. The project covered a full scope of work, including installing a new septic system and safely removing an in-ground oil tank. The job also involved removing stumps, as well as removing construction debris, and preparing the property for future use. We wrapped it all up by rough grading the backyard to ensure a solid foundation for upcoming landscaping. We left the site clean, neat, and ready for the next phase.

The good, the bad, and the ugly, we find it all. At the pictured property was an undisclosed second septic tank that drained into failed leaching fields, water from the failing fields was coming up under the walkway by the house. The disclosed septic tank was brand new, but the undisclosed septic tank was still connected to the house and would have caused problems for the new homeowner.
