⚠️ COMMUNITY PSA ⚠️

This isn’t an easy post to make but I’m sharing it because women in NWA need to hear it.

I get a lot of messages about my cleaning business. Most are respectful and professional, but some are not. Recently I got a message that gave me a bad gut feeling from the very first text. I looked into it later and found out it was from a man that’s been known around here for predatory behavior and has made a lot of women feel unsafe.

It brought me right back to when I first moved to NWA while pregnant with Oliver. I was just trying to get my name out there and book clients. The first house I went to was a nightmare. I walked in with my cleaning supplies ready to work and the man immediately started acting weird. He told me I didn’t look like my picture and kept backing me into a corner saying things like “you don’t know what this is do you.” The house had no furniture at all. Just a bed. That was the moment I knew something was really wrong. I bolted out the door as fast as I could.

Ladies, please trust your intuition. If something feels off, cancel. Leave. Don’t second guess yourself. You owe no one an explanation when it comes to protecting yourself.

After that experience I made a promise to myself that I would never walk into another stranger’s home unprotected, and that I would never do in person quotes either. I always carry protection with me now. It’s sad that we even have to think about that, but it’s reality. So let this also be a message to the men who think they can prey on women who are just trying to work and make a living. We are not stupid. We are not weak. Our intuition is the strongest. And we will protect ourselves if we have to.

I love my job and I love serving my community, but my safety comes first. Women, please be cautious when meeting new clients or going into homes alone. Watch out for each other. Share information. And most importantly, trust that gut feeling. It can save your life.

My Journey: From Struggle to Salvation Through Cleaning

From as far back as I can remember, life wasn’t easy. As a preschooler, I grew up in an abusive household where safety and security were hard to find. Those early years shaped my life in ways I’m still working to overcome. By the time I was 12, I was battling addiction and self-harm, carrying the weight of trauma and pain that no child should have to bear.

For years, I was lost, stuck in cycles of hurt and survival. But in my mid-20s, I decided enough was enough. I left everything I knew, packed up my courage, and moved to Northwest Arkansas to start over. It was here that I found my calling—cleaning.

What started as a means of survival quickly became my therapy. There’s something deeply calming and transformative about turning chaos into calm, dirt into sparkle, and mess into magic. Cleaning is my truest form of healing; it’s where I feel in control, purposeful, and at peace. It’s not just a job for me—it’s my way of rewriting the story of my life.

I poured everything into building my cleaning business, and it has literally saved my life. It has given me a second chance and helped me provide for my family. But the road hasn’t been easy. The cleaning industry is oversaturated with amateur, unprofessional, and extremely cheap cleaners, which makes it so much harder for skilled, legitimate businesses like mine to survive. This industry deserves to be valued, and so does the work we put into it.

Despite these challenges, I remain passionate about what I do. Cleaning isn’t just about making spaces look good—it’s about creating an environment that feels good, safe, and welcoming. My work is a reflection of my love for people, homes, and healing, and I’m so proud of what I’ve built.
