Burns has grown with it.  To meet the challenges of increased traffic congestion, two-income families, and higher service expectations on the part of the consumer, D. Burns opened a satellite office in suburban Bellevue in 1988.  The satellite strategy is to make our in-plant cleaning services more accessible with a second location and offer savings to our customers through our “cash & carry” pricing program.

Delicate silk and art-silk (viscose, rayon, etc.) rugs need to be cleaned differently. Our process starts with an assessment of fiber type, then pre-treatment of spots and stains, followed by gentle agitation and a thorough rinse. Hand-cleaning fringes, grooming the pile, and temperature-controlled drying ensure the rug looks its best when it’s returned to you. It’s slower, but it’s the only way to protect fibers that are more sensitive to damage.
