As St. Patrick’s Day approaches and warmer weather is within reach, many pool owners are noticing something concerning — the water level under their inground pool covers may look lower than expected.
In most cases, this does not mean you have a leak. During the winter, heavy snow can push your pool cover down into the water. When this happens, the weight of the snow displaces the pool water and forces some of it out of the pool.
Once the snow melts and the cover rises back up, it can appear as though water has been lost. The important step now is to refill your pool to the proper level and begin preparing for your spring opening.
If you have any questions, concerns, or need help getting your pool ready for the season, give us a call. We’re happy to help.
