Our pump truck works perfect for those preventative maintenance clean outs for your aerobic system. It's necessary every few years, ~3-5 years for a family of 3, to empty the accumulated solids from your septic system. Simply look at this as taking out the trash every 3-5 years. Preventative cleanings are necessary to help extend the life of all the septic components. Due to the weight added from sludge accumulation over time the pressure necessary to move air into the treatment unit increases, the compressor is now having to work harder to perform. The submersible pumps we use for dispersal application are top of the line, but still are only meant to pump a clean treated effluent. Once the accumulated sludge is within 4" of the pumps' intake screen we would recommend a cleaning to avoid a pump failure. Don't forget that just because it's been 'working great for 15 years' doesn't mean it hasn't been struggling to continue treating and pumping the wastewater/sludge that has accumulated over that amount of time. Don't get stuck with that bill, planned preventative maintenance is always the better option.

Time between your cleanings completely depends on how your household uses the septic. Everything that is sent down the drains will end up in the septic. We will always be transparent and honest when the question is: To pump or not to pump? Give us a call to get on our truck's schedule or to have us come take a look.

Has your septic stood in the way of your dream pool or shop building?

Our customer had plans to install a new pool on a unique lot surrounded by water well setbacks and a bayou as a property boundary. We were able to relocate all of the septic components in order to accommodate all of their development plans. This turned out to be a new install, we crushed in an existing grease trap and the conventional tanks, routed plumbing to the new system location and installed a 3000 sq ft drip field in front of the home.

Even if it seems like your property can't meet all of your needs or wants, there may be a way to make it all come together. With a site plan and a little of your time we will gladly discuss with you any options we may have to get you swimming by summer!
