I understand that every person can’t afford a cleaning service or sometimes people just don’t want “strangers” in their homes- and I get it- I really do. Having said that, People message me all the time and ask how to clean certain things and I don’t gate keep anything so I hope this helps you.
For stubborn build up on tubs, showers, and shower doors use vinegar & dawn dishwashing liquid.
I usually mix up half a bottle of vinegar, half water, and sq**rt some dawn in there and shake it up.
Spray it down, let it sit, then go to work with a prayer and a scrub brush. I also LOVE using these magic erasers. You can also use the Lysol power clinging gel…. It Works WONDERS on grout lines.
For build up in commodes, use the Lysol power clinging gel and a griddle screen. This works well on hard water stains.
If you have black spots in the caulk in showers- there’s nothing I have found that can get those spots out- other than recaulking it.
For ovens, spray with the oven cleaner from Sam’s and it will eliminate a TON of elbow work….
(It took me 20 years to learn this) you can also use the griddle screens too for those stubborn places.
If you have grease build up on your vent hood/ screens- AWESOME from the dollar store is your best bet. You can soak them in the sink and it helps get grease off fairly easy.
For stainless steel, this stainless steel cleaner is streak free.
I cannot say that these methods works 100% of the time…. Because every once in a while I run into a doozy🤯 But I can say they work MOST of the time.
