A little PSA from your friendly neighborhood house cleaner 🧹✨

I try really hard not to have a super strict cancellation policy because I understand that life happens. Kids get sick, appointments come up, schedules change — I get it!

But here’s the part people may not think about: when you cancel your cleaning, I don’t get paid. That time was reserved specifically for your home, and especially with a last-minute cancellation, it’s usually impossible for me to fill that spot.

Imagine showing up for work expecting a normal paycheck, only to be told, “Actually, we don’t need you today, so you won’t be getting paid.” 😅 That’s essentially what a cancellation looks like for a small service business.

I will always try to be understanding and flexible, and I truly appreciate my clients who give me as much notice as possible. 💛 I just ask that you remember: my schedule is my paycheck. When you reserve a spot, I’m counting on that income just like anyone else counts on their scheduled hours at work.

Just a little PSA from your friendly neighborhood house cleaner 🧽✨

I’m a cleaner, not a magician — and sometimes I think those two get confused.

I can scrub an older sink, bathtub, floor, or appliance until my arms fall off, but I cannot make years of wear, staining, discoloration, or aging disappear. An older home isn’t always going to “sparkle” the same way a newly remodeled home with bright white quartz, brand-new fixtures, and shiny new appliances does.

Clean and new are two very different things.

I promise, I will do everything I can to get your home CLEAN. But if you’re wanting old finishes to look brand new, you may need a contractor… because unfortunately that is where my superpowers end. 😂

Please keep realistic expectations for your cleaner. Some things simply cannot be scrubbed away, and expecting otherwise will leave you unhappy with any cleaning service.

I clean dirt. I can’t clean away age. 😉
