This very young female was already about to drop her first litter. Then in another few months she would have been bred again. They reproduce so fast that it’s almost impossible to keep up with the rate they reproduce. The other sow that was with her was likely her mother. She is close to having more also. Was really hoping to get them both. Maybe she’ll be back tonight.

This one got a little boost to go into the trap.

Here’s the bear a little closer up. Their winter coats are coming in now and they are looking good. We just caught pigs here yesterday

As if today wasn’t interesting enough, we had a bear show up at another location. This is the first we’ve seen here, but they are everywhere in Twiggs County GA these days.

On rare occasions we have some go in the trap in broad daylight. These have been showing up about 5:30 every day and today they were right on time. Had to shoot one on the outside of the trap and a little boar got away. He’ll probably be back soon.

Had two that wouldn’t go in, if you look real close you can see a good sized boar on the other side of the net. You can hear the shot at the first part of the clip just before they go crazy.
