ONE PROPERTY. MULTIPLE STAGES. ONE COORDINATED PROJECT.

Developing raw land requires every part of the project to work together.

This Bandera County property began with rough, uneven terrain and no established construction areas. Tri County Wastewater Systems helped transform the undeveloped land by completing several important stages of the project:

✅ Clearing and preparing the property
✅ Establishing the driveway and construction access
✅ Preparing the house and building areas
✅ Installing the septic system
✅ Installing underground water, electric and fiber infrastructure

Each improvement affected the next. The access route had to accommodate construction traffic. The building areas, septic system and underground utilities all needed practical locations and routes across the property.

By looking at the property as one complete project, we were able to coordinate the work from the initial site preparation through the finished infrastructure.

The result is more than cleared land—it is a property prepared to support the customer’s plans.

Veteran-owned with 30 years of experience, Tri County Wastewater Systems provides septic system installation and repair, underground utility infrastructure installation and service preparation (water, electric and fiber), land clearing, driveways and site preparation throughout Bandera and the Texas Hill Country.

📢 HOMEOWNER PSA: Small installation details can prevent BIG septic problems!
Do you know how the pipes entering and leaving your septic tank are sealed?
These connections need a proper, watertight seal. Gaps can allow roots and outside water into the tank—potentially contributing to blockages, excess water in the system, and costly repairs.

Concrete septic tanks may have gaps around the pipes where they enter the tank. Although many inspectors do not require it, these openings should be sealed with hydraulic cement. Make sure your septic contractor uses hydraulic cement to seal the septic tank pipe penetrations to keep roots and surface water from getting in your septic tank.

🏡 Before your installation is covered, ask your contractor:
“How are the pipe connections sealed to keep outside water and roots out?”

At Tri County Wastewater Systems, LLC, we believe homeowners deserve to understand the details that help protect their investment.

A GOOD BUILD STARTS WITH A WALK THROUGH THE PROPERTY

A set of house plans shows the building—but it may not show everything required to make the property functional.

Before excavation begins, we want to understand the complete project:

• Where will the home, workshop or barn be positioned?
• How will construction equipment enter and move through the property?
• Where are the water source and electrical service located?
• How far must the utilities travel?
• Will any lines need to cross a driveway or road?
• Where can the septic system and required disposal area be placed?
• Are future buildings or property improvements being considered?
• Will rock, slopes, trees or drainage affect the work?

These details help determine practical locations for the septic system, underground utilities, access roads and other site improvements.

At Tri County Wastewater Systems, we look beyond one trench or one installation. We consider how the individual parts of the project need to work together—both now and as the property develops.

Our veteran-owned company brings 30 years of experience working with the land, terrain and construction challenges found throughout Bandera and the Texas Hill Country.

Before your plans are finalized and equipment arrives, let’s walk through the property and discuss the complete project.

BEFORE THE HOME GOES UP, THE INFRASTRUCTURE GOES IN

This Bandera County project involved much more than running a single utility line.

Tri County Wastewater Systems installed the underground infrastructure needed to serve a new home and workshop, including:

✅ Underground waterline
✅ Electric conduit with pull strings
✅ Fiber conduit with pull strings
✅ Exterior meter and service-equipment preparation
✅ Propane Tank installation

The installation covered a long distance across the property and required careful planning for multiple utility routes and road crossings. Coordinating the propane tank installation and underground utilities as part of the same project helped establish practical routes and prepare the property for the next stages of construction.

Much of this work will eventually be covered and out of sight, but careful layout, proper installation and accurate service preparation are essential before construction moves forward.

Tri County installs and prepares the underground utility infrastructure and exterior service components. Final electrical wiring, utility connection and energization are completed by the appropriate licensed electrician and utility provider.

Tri County Wastewater Systems is veteran-owned and brings 30 years of experience to septic, utility and site-preparation projects throughout Bandera and the Texas Hill Country.

TREE ROOTS CAN DAMAGE A SEPTIC DRAINFIELD

These photos show extensive tree-root intrusion discovered inside the leaching chambers of an actual septic drainfield.

Tree and shrub roots naturally seek moisture. When vegetation is located too close to a drainfield, roots may enter chamber openings, joints or damaged areas. Over time, heavy root growth can restrict wastewater distribution, occupy the available treatment area and contribute to drainfield failure.

Possible warning signs include:

⚠️ Slow drains throughout the home
⚠️ Sewage odors inside or outside
⚠️ Wet, soft or unusually green areas over the drainfield
⚠️ Wastewater surfacing or backing up
⚠️ A septic system that is no longer operating properly

The underground portion of a septic system may be out of sight, but it should not be forgotten. Avoid planting trees or large shrubs near the tank and drainfield, and never drive or operate heavy equipment over the system.

Tri County Wastewater Systems provides septic-system evaluation and repair services throughout Bandera and the Texas Hill Country. We do not provide septic pumping services.

Concerned about your septic system? Contact us to discuss what you are experiencing.

WHEN A SEPTIC INSTALLATION MEETS TEXAS HILL COUNTRY ROCK

This recent septic system installation required extensive hammer work just to prepare the excavation for the tank.

Heavy rock can make what appears to be a straightforward excavation significantly more demanding. Our crew used the proper equipment and worked carefully through the rock to create the space and elevation required for the tank installation.

Once the system is installed and the property is graded, much of this work will no longer be visible—but proper preparation below ground is essential to a successful installation.

This project is a good example of why local experience matters. Tri County Wastewater Systems brings 30 years of experience working with the challenging terrain found throughout Bandera and the Texas Hill Country.

Planning a new home or property improvement that will require a septic system? Contact us early so we can review your project and help you prepare for the site conditions.
