38 looks different when you’ve survived things you never spoke about, fought battles nobody knew you were fighting, and still found a way to show up for yourself. 🥹💐

I’ve cried, I’ve lost, I’ve learned, I’ve healed, and I’ve grown. Life tried me in ways that could’ve broken me, but God had other plans. 🙏🏽✨

This year, I’m choosing ME. My peace, my happiness, my healing, my discipline, my dreams, and the woman I’m becoming. No more shrinking, no more settling, no more apologizing for outgrowing what no longer serves me.

I’m walking into 38 with a different mindset, a softer heart, stronger boundaries, and a faith that cannot be shaken. ♏️🔥

20 beautiful years of loving you, growing with you, and learning from you. After everything August brought our way, I’m beyond grateful to God for the gift of another birthday with you. You’ve helped shape me into the mother I am today, and watching the person you’ve become, especially the big brother you are to Azuri, makes my heart so full. You’ll forever be a piece of my heart walking outside my body. ❤️

God my heart aches for this family!!!! This all makes me so angry!! To have experienced what my oldest son experienced last month it makes me soooo SAD! This couldve been ME😢 is all I can think about…. It could be ANY OF US! How can we protect our children from ppl who are supposed to help protect them!!! Me personally, I don’t care who kid you are when you are around me you are ONE OF MINE! It’s truly SAD & HEARTBREAKING!! This is NOT NORMAL!! I don’t know about yall but I never thought we would ever have to live life like this! We work hard and take care of our children! We do everything in our power to teach them how to protect themselves because we all know we can’t hold their hands forever! This baby was ROBBED OF HER LIFE!!!!! It’s so disgusting to his is the New adults we are left with! Smh I am sending my deepest, most heartfelt condolences 💐 to her family , especially her Mother and Grandmother! Praying nonstop that God wraps his arms around them and everyone /anyone else affected 😢🙏🏾❤️‍🩹

It’s finally here! This Sunday, September 27th, our family will be participating in the 16th Annual Run Wild for Autism 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk at the Maryland Zoo with Pathfinders for Autism! 🏃🏾‍♀️💙

And I would LOVE for our family, friends, and village to come out and celebrate with us! 🙏🏾💙

This year is EXTRA special because it’s our FIRST Run Wild celebrating all of the incredible milestones Azuri has achieved! 🥹💙 He has come such a long way and continues to make HUGE STRIDES every single day. And we know his journey is only beginning! 🌟

Behind him is an amazing family — his phenomenal Mom, Dad, big brother, and his absolute BEST RBT — cheering him on every step of the way. ❤️

One month ago today, my life changed forever. 💔

I’ve replayed that day in my mind more times than I can count, and honestly, this journey has tested my faith like nothing I’ve ever experienced. When something happens to your child, it hits a place in you that’s indescribable. I’m strong, but this one hit different.

But look at what God has done. 🙏🏽✨

Today, I stood in church with my boys—my kings, my blessings, my beautiful sons—and my heart was FULL. I may not have been able to focus on every word of the sermon, but I didn’t need to. I could look at my children and see the sermon right in front of me.

Look at what God has done.

You cannot tell me He is not a healer. You cannot tell me He is not a protector. You cannot tell me He doesn’t show favor. God has been covering my family in ways I can’t even explain, and I am forever grateful for His grace, His mercy, His protection, and every angel watching over us.

I am still healing. I am still a work in progress. And I know God is working on me—in overtime. 🙏🏽

But I refuse to let the enemy take me off the path God created for me. I’m choosing faith over fear, gratitude over grief, and healing one day at a time.

One month later… WE’RE STILL HERE. ❤️‍🩹

And that alone is a testimony.

Look at what God has done. 🙌🏽
Forever grateful. Forever covered. Forever blessed. ❤️

💙🎂 HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY TO MY SWEET AZURI! 🎂💙

Four years ago, God blessed me with a little boy who would teach me a completely different meaning of love, strength, patience, and purpose. 🥹💙

Azuri, you are so much more than your diagnosis. You are funny, loving, smart, strong, determined, and SO incredibly special. 🧩💙 Your autism has taught our family to see the world differently—to celebrate the little victories, embrace every milestone, and understand that different is not less.

You’ve also shown us strength in ways a little boy should never have to. Through your chronic asthma, your challenges, your ABA journey, and all the moments that have required us to advocate, fight, learn, and grow… you continue to amaze me.

Being your mom has changed me. It has taught me that sometimes the smallest voices need the biggest advocates. ❤️

So this birthday, I’m not just celebrating 4 years of Azuri. I’m celebrating every milestone, every battle, every smile, every lesson, and every person who has become part of Azuri’s Village. 🥹💙

And now, I’m asking my village to help me turn his birthday into PURPOSE. 🙏🏽
