House Cleaning Tips – Tip #3

Here is a list of the actual products and equipment that we use in our home cleaning business. We have always preferred high-quality products that are made for home use and not commercial or industrial products. Your bathroom isn't likely to get the amount of traffic that a mall bathroom gets so why use the same products?

For bathrooms:

For kitchen:

House Cleaning Tips – Tip #2

Clean all of your floors last.

There's nothing worse than to clean your entire home and then you have to walk on clean floors and freshly vacuumed carpets. At best, you'll leave footprints where ever you walk. At worst, you could be tracking dirt and dust back onto the clean floors.

When you vacuum a room be sure to start at the farthest point away from the entrance or door. Then vacuum backward toward the door. This will eliminate the footprints as you go and will leave the carpets freshly vacuumed.

When you are mopping the non-carpeted areas you'll do the same thing. Start as far from the entrance or door as you can. You'll mop while walking backward to make sure you've cleaned your footprints. Please allow all mopped floors to thoroughly dry before walking on them or putting rugs or furniture back. Be sure to wipe off the “feet” of chairs and small furniture before you place them on your floors.

Cleaning the floors last will assure you that your home is clean from top to bottom!

House Cleaning Tips – Tip #1

The best house cleaning tip that we can give you is to use the proper products and equipment for the job. If you're cleaning a mirror, you should use a quality glass cleaner and an absorbent paper towel. If you're cleaning a bathtub, you should use a soap scum remover and a non-scratch scrubbing sponge. It would be better to use a flannel dusting cloth and a dusting spray rather than a feather duster. A dust cloth will hold onto the dust, while a feather duster has a tendency to spread the dust and move it into the air.

Having the proper products and equipment will make the cleaning job quicker and easier!
