A detail will nva be $80. I don't know why folk are saying "detail" vs quick or light.
We had a detail that took 5 hours recently..... just dividing 5 into 80 making it a hourly bill out at $_____.
How could a business survive that hourly cost.
A: They could not!!
a wash n wax exterior with a quick vac or wipe down could be some person 80 because that may take a hour or less.
Details usually START at $400. Maybe 3 or so hours unless the interior is hammered. Sand, dog hair, mold, smoke, stains (which varies hence why customers are asked what made the stain). Easily could budget a once a year detail at min $500 or so.
We've had wrecked details lasting two days and charge 1k or so for interior with exterior wash n seal.
Toss in exterior paint correction and better protection i e. ceramic and one could easily be at 2k or more.
Just some info to digest.
knowing this, I personally keep all our vehicles near new conditions with regular cleanings as NOT to pay places the prices mentioned above. lol
