To say it was a rainy day is an understatement! Shoaling, no trash dump, pouring rain, and dying golf carts due to lightening. Yet, we managed! Hats off to our AMAZING crew for braving the weather, the breakdowns, the linens being washed not once, but twice, the ferry bumps and delays, and a few difficult guests.

Trash service is expected to resume on Monday. ***PLEASE NOTE*** All receptacles at Public Works are full. Please DO NOT bring any household waste or recycling to the Public Works facility. The dredging company was able to finally start last night to clear the shoals from the BHI marina. They worked over night in difficult conditions, and are facing a huge task over the next few days with the weather , wind and storm coming in. We continue to appreciate your patience, as we navigate private charter boats, shut down ferries and limited supplies on the island. We suggest you monitor the BHI transportation website and apps, get a great Tide app like Tides Near Me and Windfinder that we use, and have the food and items you need with you since the Barge has had limited options for transport as well. Please keep your guests informed as well. It’s a gift to enjoy this special place- but this gift comes with challenges.
