One of the risks with water damage is when a drywall ceiling collapses after a pipe leaks in the attic. In this case, the leak was severe enough to cause the ceiling to fall through from the weight of the saturated insulation above the drywall already weakened by water.

We got the call and got to work! After cleaning out all of the blown-in insulation, we cleaned the affected gym equipment, cut and removed the rest of the affected drywall and tented the ceiling, focusing the dry hot air on the exposed framing.

Fire losses happen, and when they do, we’re ready to help. When this customer had a fire in their home they gave us a call and we were on site that night to board up their unsecured doors and windows. We also took inventory of all items in the home ensuring every piece of property was accounted for while coordinating with the insurance company. Lastly, all salvageable items were transported, cleaned and stored.

A pin-hole leak in a copper pipe affected the walls and ceiling in this home. Part of any water loss is moisture mapping all affected rooms and adjacent areas to get a full scope of what materials were affected and the work to be performed. You can see the outline of what was affected in blue tape.

After removing the affected drywall and insulation, our technicians “tented” the ceiling by enclosing it in plastic and funneling the dry, hot air from the dehumidifier to the wooden framing through a duct. This is a common technique we employ to dry remaining materials out quickly and efficiently.

Once the remaining woodwork is dry this homeowner will be all ready for repairs to begin!

After we performed mold abatement in this customer’s kitchen, we also completed the reconstruction. These are the photos of the completed photos followed by what it looked like before and after demolition. We appreciate this customer who has trusted us with several jobs for their property!
