Recently, I had the honor of speaking at Fully Confident by Kelz’s event: Summer of Confidence. Women came together and shared different areas we can show up fully confident in our lives, and I got to talk about something that is so much deeper than keeping a house clean: stewarding the home God has entrusted to us. 🤍
One thing I shared is that stewardship is not perfection. Your home does not have to look like a magazine for you to be doing a good job. Sometimes faithful stewardship looks like creating peace, building simple systems, and being intentional with what you already have.
A few practical reminders I shared:
✨ Create a 30-minute reset. You don’t have to clean your entire house every day. Set a timer, focus on the biggest areas, and reset the space.
✨ Give everything a home. Catch-all baskets can be your best friend! When things don’t have a place, clutter multiplies.
✨ Stop aiming for perfect—aim for purposeful. Declutter what isn’t serving your family and create spaces that actually work for the way you live.
✨ Build simple routines. Making the bed, doing a load of laundry, putting things away immediately, and having a weekly reset can make a huge difference over time.
✨ Let your family help. Stewardship isn’t supposed to mean one person carries the entire house. Chore charts, age-appropriate responsibilities, and teamwork teach everyone to care for what they’ve been given.
✨ Don’t confuse a peaceful home with a perfect home. A home can have toys on the floor, laundry waiting to be folded, and real-life mess—and still be full of love, peace, gratitude, and purpose.
And most importantly, stewardship begins with gratitude. We don’t care for our homes because we have to prove something. We care for them because we recognize what we’ve been entrusted with.
I’m so grateful I got to share this message at Summer of Confidence: Fully Confident by Kelz. 🤍
Here’s to creating homes that aren’t just beautiful—but peaceful, purposeful, and faithfully stewarded. 🏡✨
